James, the Brother of Jesus: A Nail in the Coffin of Christ-Mysticism

In the past few years, there has been an increase in books claiming that there was no historical Jesus Christ; the best attempts at supporting this theory has been Robert M. Price, The Christ-Myth Theory and its Problems and Richard Carrier, On the Historicity of Jesus Christ. However, one of the (many) insurmountable problems with this theory pertains to that of James, the “brother of the Lord.”


Daniel N. Gullotta has a very good article showing that the thesis of Price et al. flounders under careful exegesis, "Was James the Brother of Jesus?" One can access the article here.
