M. Wells Jakeman's response to Dee F. Green on Book of Mormon Archaeology

A very dated but popular article one often sees critics reference is that of Dee F. Green, "Book of Mormon Archaeology: The Myths and the Alternatives" that appeared in vol. 4 issue 2 of Dialogue: A Journal of Mormon Thought (Summer 1969). A little-known response to Gee's article was published by M. Wells Jakeman that appeared in the 1st December 1969 (no. 117) issue of the Newsletter and Proceedings of the Society for Early Historic Archaeology:


Of course, the case for the Book of Mormon has by grown leaps and bounds since 1969, notwithstanding most of the critics of the Book of Mormon being several decades behind the scholarship on the authenticity of the text. For those who wish to “bone up” on such, see:
