Justin Martyr's Distinguishing between "God" and Jesus in Dialogue with Trypho


In chapter cx of his Dialogue with Trypho, Justin Martyr made a numerical distinction between, not just the persons of the Father and the Son, but between God (θεος) and Jesus. Describing Christians, he writes they are a

For that vine planted by God and Christ the Saviour is His people. (ANF 1:254)
