D&C 50:43 and the "Oneness" of the Father, Son, and Believers vs. the claim early Latter-day Saint Theology was a Form of Modalism

In a revelation from May 1831, we read:

And the Father and I are one, I am in the Father and the Father in me; and inasmuch as ye have received me, ye are in me and I in you. (D&C 50:43)

This is interesting as, notwithstanding the verse being one that teaches the “oneness” of the Father and the Son, it is not that of Modalism; instead, it is the same as John 17:22-23—one of indwelling unity, not being the same person. This blows the likes of Dan Vogel et al., out of the water in their (gross mis)reading of early Latter-day Saint texts and theology.
