Edward Stevenson's Reminiscences of Joseph Smith's Positive Approach to the Apocrypha (cf. D&C 91)


 

Opening the Bible to the Apocrypha, he said, "There are many precious truths in these books,—just as true as any of the Bible—but it requires much of the Spirit of God to divide the truths from the errors which have crept into them."
