Henry Ramsden Bramley (1833-1917): The "Ancient of Days" is Jesus

Henry Ramsden Bramley (1833-1917) was an English clergyman and hymnologist. In his hymn, "The Great God of Heaven,” he identifies Jesus, not the Father, with the "Ancient of Days":

Oh wonder of wonders, which none can unfold,

The Ancient of days is an hour or two old!

The Maker of all things is made of the earth,

Man-is worshipped by angels and God comes to birth. (The Children's Hymnal With Accompanying Tunes: Published By Authority of the Psalmody and Hymn Committee of The Church of Scotland [London: T Nelson and Sons, 1881], 97
