E. L. Schoenhals (1963): Paul was Forgiven of Murder

Acts 8:1 And Saul was consenting unto his death.

Also in Acts 7:58, it appears as though Paul was an accessory in the murder of Stephen, and if this occurrence took place today, Paul could be convicted of murder, the most heinous of all offenses to God; particularly the murder of one of his chosen servants. Yet the Apostle Paul was forgiven. (E. L. Schoenhals, Celestial Law [Salt Lake City: Deseret News Press, 1963], 49)
