In OT MS 2, p. 51, we read a variant in the text:
And the Lord restored <visited> Sarah, as he had
said, & the Lord did unto Sarah
as he had spoken by the mouth of his Angels: for sarah conceived
Note that the text originally had God
restoring Sarah instead of visiting her (OT MS 1, p. 52 has “visited”).
This could be interpreted as Joseph perhaps teaching that Sarah was restored/forgiven
by God for laughing at Him for the promise of a son (cf. Gen 18:10-15).
