Ezra Taft Benson (September 6, 1946) and "the return of Judah to Palestine"

FRIDAY, SEPTEMBER 6, 1946:

STOCKHOLM, SWEDEN

Arrived in Stockholm and spent the day conferring with President Blomquist, visiting with President and Sister Cowles, missionaries, and friends and in taking care of mail and inspecting three prospective mission home buildings.

Attended meeting of the Saints and spoke for forty-five minutes on the children of Judah, which question is very much in the news today. Many people, nations, and prominent Jews are opposing the return of Judah to Palestine. The spirit of gathering is resting so powerfully upon them that they are flocking to that land under the most adverse circumstances resulting in much suffering. Of course it is all in fulfillment of prophecy in the Bible, Book of Mormon, and Doctrine and Covenants, and no matter what nations or individuals say or so, the Jews will return to Palestine.
