Back
in late-2013, I had a written exchange on the topic of Mary’s perpetual
virginity with a couple Eastern Orthodox apologists on a friend’s facebook page
(at the time, he was a catechumen for the EO faith). For those wishing to read
the exchange, one can access a .pdf here. I will be teaching John 7-8 tomorrow in Gospel Doctrine, and hope to have a brief discussion of the debate within some circles about the relationship of the identity of the brothers/sisters of Jesus (near relatives/adopted children from a previous marriage of Joseph/biological [half-]brothers and sisters).
