Apparently, among the many things that are "normal" and "proper" behaviour for Kate is supporting New York's new laws allowing for late-stage abortion:
So, for Kate, being a functional member of society equates, in part, to believing killing unborn human children is "freedom."
(Note: I use "extreme" in the title as I know there are many former Latter-day Saints who are not abortionists and supporters of other evils)
