In this presentation, Elder Pearson urges sound LDS scholarship and apologetics; this goes against a lot of the anti-intellectualism one, sadly, finds in some quarters (e.g., mere emotionalism that many LDS appeal to [just last week, I have two local [district] leaders dismiss the explicit teaching of there being "sons of perdition" [contra D&C 76:31-46; cf. Heb 6:4-6; 10:26-29] as they did not "feel good" about it[!]).
