William Symington (1795-1862) and the Ignominious (cf. Alma 1:15) death of Jesus

  

He suffered the indignity of an unjust trial; being rudely apprehended, dragged unceremoniously to the bar, falsely accused, subjected to the testimony of suborned witnesses, and finally condemned without a shadow of proof.
