"Trinity" bring used positively to describe Latter-day Saint Theology

In a work published by the Church itself, we read the following where the term “Trinity” is used to discuss Latter-day Saint theology of the Godhead, showing that the original meaning of “Trinity” (i.e., a triad of three persons, not the later metaphysical formulations thereof) is acceptable:

Latter-day Saints believe that three personages comprise the great presiding council of the universe: God the Eternal Father; his Son, Jesus Christ; and the Holy Ghost. They believe that these three are separate individuals, physically distinct from each other, but united in purpose. The Father and the Son have bodies of flesh and bone much like our own, while the Holy Ghost is a personage of spirit. Each of the members of the Trinity is called God, and together they constitute the Godhead. (The Mormons [Salt Lake City: Deseret Book Company, 1978], 86)
