The blessed David
says to God, ‘Righteousness and judgement are the preparation of your throne,
mercy and truth will go before your face’ (Ps 88:15). Therefore the holy synod
of most God-beloved high priests in session with us, wishing, as is due,
to perform this ‘preparation’ through the ‘truth’ of the proceedings for the
