redemption pay little attention to the covenantal structures of the Bible, and
thus universalize the covenantal blessing of forgiveness, making it conditional
upon faith. Urging union with Christ as the fundamental difference, some argue
against Christ’s death purchasing faith; others argue that faith precedes regeneration.
