My copy of Meg Stout's book on Joseph Smith's polygamy arrived a few days ago. One can safe themselves money by just downloading a copy here (I got a copy just for reference and also as I prefer books in print). If one has read such a work, here is a good article to counter much of her claims featuring Brian and Laura Hales:
Q&A: Joseph Smith’s Polygamy: Separating Fact from Fiction
A book on the topic of Joseph Smith's polygamy that is actually informative and sound, historically speaking, would be:
Brian Hales and Laura Hales, Joseph Smith's Polygamy: Toward a Better Understanding
If one is really serious about the topic:
Brian Hales, Joseph Smith's Polygamy (3 vols)
