In Old Testament Manuscript 2:119, we read:
Malachi Correct
Finished on the 2d day of July 1833
Joseph Smith would later depart from his assessment of the
"correct" nature of the KJV text of Malachi. In a
discourse from January 21, 1844, we read the following in Wilford
Woodruff's account thereof:
The Bible says “I will send you
Elijah before the great & dredful day of the Lord come that he shall turn
the hearts of the fathers to the children & the hearts of the children to
their fathers lest I come & smite the whole earth with a curse,” Now the
word turn here should be translated -[bind or seal] . . .
