Michael LeFebvre on "Elohim" being the Plural form of "Eloah"

 

The Hebrew word ‘ēlōhîm is the plural form of ‘ēlŏah (or its shortened form, ‘el). The term describes a being of divine power, usually a divine being (a god) but sometimes a king or judge possessing delegated divine authority (e.g., Ps 58:1).
