In 2 Nephi 30:2, we read:
For behold, I say unto you that as
many of the Gentiles as will repent are the covenant people of the Lord; and as
many of the Jews as will not repent shall be cast off; for the Lord covenanteth
with none save it be with them that repent and believe in his Son, who is the
Holy One of Israel.
This
reminds me of a text from the Doctrine and Covenants:
Behold, the Lord requireth the heart
and a willing mind; and the willing and obedient shall eat the good of the land
of Zion in these last days. And the rebellious shall be cut off out of the land
of Zion, and shall be sent away, and shall not inherit the land. For, verily I
say that the rebellious are not of the blood of Ephraim, wherefore they shall
be plucked out. (D&C 64:34-36)
