Karl Keating, former president of Catholic Answers and author of Catholicism and Fundamentalism, wrote the following in a recent article:
If they are Mormons, learn what they mean by “God the Father” (an “exalted man” who lives on a planet near an uncharted star named Kolob) and show, from the Bible, how such a being can’t be divine, since he isn’t omnipotent or omniscient.
So many errors, so little time . . .
On Kolob:
God is not said to reside there; instead, his throne and residency is "near" Kolob (see Abraham 3:3-4, 9, 16; 5:13).
For a good discussion, see the FairMormon wiki on Kolob.
On God the Father:
I would suggest one read the relevant sections of my review of 20 Answers: Mormonism by Trent Horn, also of Catholic Answers, which shows that Latter-day Saint, not Catholic/Trinitarian theology is biblical.
