2 p.m. Opening exercise. Prest. George Q. Cannon. We have come here to receive the word of the Lord and before we separate we will acknowledge that the Lord has been very liberal with us. More reverence should be shown to those bearing the Priesthood. To us Joseph Smith was a perfect man. I regarded Brigham Young in the same light. Unless the[re] is reformation in the church in this matter unless we show greater reverence & respect for the Priesthood[,] some one will go to Hell.
