Most recently Isaac Hess has been making the rounds again (this time, on @LilaRoseShow at https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1TMzZukEMgg)
I have never seen him make a meaningful defense of Roman Catholic dogma. This can be considered an open debate challenge to Isaac: (1) "Is the Immaculate Conception of Mary Apostolic in Origin? Opening statements: 20 mins each Rebuttals: 10 mins each Cross Ex: 15 mins each Closing statements: 10 mins each If you agree to debate the IC, I will be more than willing to debate the thesis, (2) "The Book of Abraham is an authentic 19th-century translation of an ancient text." I will even have it on a RC channel, such as Trent Horn's, with Trent as moderator. Alt. can ask Jacob Hansen to host them, too. Email: ScripturalMormonism@gmail.com. I doubt this will happen. However, do look for the review myself, Travis Anderson, and Errol Amey will have of this recent episode.
Update: Emerson Green (atheist) has told me that he would be happy to host/moderate these debates.
Further Update: A Facebook friend emailed Hess. He is more than happy to chase clout and go on channels like Lila Rose and Pints with Aquinas, but when push comes to shove, is not willing to defend his views in moderated debate (note: I also offered to debate and defend the Book of Abraham, which we are always told, is "proof" of Joseph Smith being a false prophet and a fraud). It looks like my friend Blake Ostler was correct when he predicted that "He won't accept because he is in over his head and not remotely qualified to address the issue and subject."

The same facebook friend followed up with Hess; this was his "response." To quote a friend, "I guess he's just called to preach strawman Mormonism to Catholics instead of preaching Catholicism to Mormons," or, as another put it bluntly, "'I’m just going to lie about a religion I don’t like to lots of people with no pushback!” -Isaac Hess basically.'"
Isaac Hess is nothing short of a coward, a liar, and an intellectual fraud. He is more than happy to go on Pints with Aquinas and Lila Rose, ensuring he will be seen by thousands of Roman Catholic viewers who will uncritically accept his claims, but when faced with a knowledgeable opponent, makes up all types of pathetic excuses to avoid such a confrontation. Do pray for his poor, andno doubt spiritually abused, wife and kids.
