Robert Clifton Robinson (Protestant) on John 1:1c

Although the book was, to be blunt, a joke, we do have this admission from Robinson (while attempting to defend a [Western/Latin] model of the Trinity):  

This structure communicates quality (what the Word is), not identity (the Word is not all of God). The Word shares the essence of deity, not merely a divine rank.
