Recent books on the Apostasy/Restoration and Givens on LDS Theology
Two recent books have been
released that discusses the LDS perspective on the Apostasy and Restoration.

Miranda Wilcox and John D.
Young, eds. Standing Apart: Mormon Historical Consciousness and the Concept of Apostasy (Oxford, 2014)
Also, a paperback version of one
of the best books on the Apostasy and Restoration from an LDS perspective, Noel
B. Reynolds, ed. Early Christians in Disarray is now available.
Terryl Givens also has a forthcoming
work on the development of LDS theology, Wrestling the Angel: The Foundations of Mormon Thought: Cosmos, God, Humanity (Oxford). It will be the first
volume in a multi-volume series. As an aside, Terryl and his wife, Fiona, have
a book forthcoming entitled, The Crucible of Doubt: Reflections on the Quest for Faith (Deseret Book)
