Brigham Young's Use of "Adieu" (July 11, 1851)

 In his letter to Lorin Farr dated July 11, 1851, Brigham Young used "adieu" (cf. Jacob 7:27):

 

Until then adieu, and may the God of Israel bless and preserve you, is the prayer of your friend and brother in the gospel of peace.
