The resulting system of “many gods”
must nevertheless be described as a monotheism (Alma 11:28-29; D&C
20:28), since there is but one Divine Fullness in the universe, hence
one “Eternal God of all other gods” (D&C 121:32), whose indwelling presence
makes the Son divine (John 14:10; Mosiah 15:1-4), and which can deify his other
sons and daughters by lodging in them and making them one with himself (John
17:21-23; 3 Nephi 28:10). (Eugene Seaich, Ancient Texts and Mormonism, 6
vols. [3d ed.; Salt Lake City, Ronald W. Gibson, 2014], 1:i)
