καὶ καταμάθωμεν ὅτι ἐν γενεᾷ καὶ γενεᾷ
μετανοίας τόπον ἔδωκεν ὁ δεσπότης
τοῖς βουλομένοις ἐπιστραφῆναι ἐπ᾽ αὐτόν.

10 κρίνων δὲ κατὰ βραχὺ ἐδίδους τόπον
μετανοίας
οὐκ ἀγνοῶν ὅτι πονηρὰ ἡ γένεσις αὐτῶν
καὶ ἔμφυτος ἡ κακία αὐτῶν
καὶ ὅτι οὐ μὴ ἀλλαγῇ ὁ λογισμὸς αὐτῶν εἰς τὸν αἰῶνα

5 Let us pass through every generation
and observe that from generation to generation
the Master has granted a place of repentance
to those willing to be converted to him.

10 But judging [them] little by little you
granted a place of repentance,
although you were not unaware that their
origin was wicked
and their evil implanted
and their reasoning would by no means
change forever.

ὅτε θέλει καὶ ὡς θέλει ποιήσει πάντα, καὶ
οὐδὲν μὴ παρέλθῃ τῶν δεδογματισμένων ὑπ᾽ αὐτοῦ.

12 τίς γὰρ ἐρεῖ τί ἐποίησας
ἢ τίς ἀντιστήσεται τῷ κρίματί σου;
τίς δὲ ἐγκαλέσει σοι κατὰ ἐθνῶν ἀπολωλότων
ἃ σὺ ἐποίησας
ἢ τίς εἰς κατάστασίν σοι ἐλεύσεται ἔκδικος
κατὰ ἀδίκων ἀνθρώπων;

5 Who shall say to him, “What
have you
done?”
Or “Who shall oppose the power of his
strength?”
When he wills and as he wills, he shall do all
and not one o the things he has decreed shall
pass away.

And “Who shall accuse you from the destruction
of nations which you made?”
