“Behold — because of the desire implanted in a human
being’s heart, as though I were conceived in iniquity. The meaning is: at the
time of birth, the evil inclination is implanted in the heart.
And the word yeḥamtani is unusual, as though it were
from yeḥammah from me, in the manner of: liḥammenah. And some say that this is
a reference to Eve, who did not give birth until after she sinned.”
