While I disagree a *lot* with Dan, Jimmy is just really *really* deceptive in his representation of Dan and engages in really deceptive tactics, as well as tone & language policing (just another day ending in 'y' for Akin who can only debate if he can gish gallop).
Such is not surprising, however. Akin's fellow co-religionists, Robert Sungenis, John Salza, and Christian Wagner, have shown Akin is more than happy to lie through his teeth.

Most recently, Christian Wagner has caught Akin lying (and yes, I believe Akin is being deliberately deceptive--he wrote a book Teaching with Authority so knows all about theological notes, the formation of dogma, etc., so he cannot plead ignorant) on the theological status of Mary being free from personal sin in Catholic theology:
