John Wayne Wardell on Nauvoo Being a Genuine Hebrew Word

While the book was poorly researched ("piss-poor" to be blunt), at least John Wayne Wardell (Protestant) does not claim "Nauvoo" is not a Hebrew word as some (e.g., Brodie in the first edition of her book) claimed:

 

. . . Old Testament places names and spiritual concepts are also transposed to the American continent. Even the final main headquarters of Joseph Smith was named “Nauvoo,” which is the Hebrew term for “beautiful.” (John Wayne Wardell, The Footprints of Mormonism [London: Austin Macauley Publishers, 2025], 13)
