[In Los Angeles] I called at
the office of Preston Richards and had a visit with an architect who is working
out a plan of architecture along Mayan lines. His theory is that the Mayas were
the fore-runners of the builders of the pyramids of Egypt. If his theories are
correct we had any number of inhabitants upon this continent before Adam. (The
