I will update the following when people submit more (feel free to do such as ScripturalMormonismATgmailDOTcom).
Testimonies
of Scriptural Mormonism
Hello
Robert,
I'm
reaching out to thank you for all the work you do. I'm a (soon-to-be) convert
to the Church and your blog has helped me deal with difficulties. Every time a
problem comes up that makes me doubt, I search for it on your blog and your
responses are always great. It seems like you have several posts for just about
every objection to the Church. Thanks so much.

I've been following Robert ever since he wrote his response
to Jeff Durbin's "The Gospel for Mormons" video. Since then his blog
has been a go to source when it comes to sources regarding biblical
scholarship, LDS apologetics, and LDS church history, and the Early Church
Fathers. I even find myself preferring his blog over more official apologetic
sources like FAIR, Scripture Central, etc because I know how well read he is.
If I want an scholarly article or book recommendation on a particular topic, I
ask him because I know he'll know exactly what I need. Robert is one of the
best minds in LDS apologetics we have.

I appreciate the work of Robert Boylan. He is the only
person online I trust to to compare and contrast religion. His intelligence and
passion for the subject is incomparable. To loose his voice would be a major
setback for apologetics and interfaith dialogue.

I'm Nathaniel Olaer, and I serve as an Institute teacher and
been good friends with Robert since 2020.
I admire Robert's work and dedication to the study of
Religion and ancient texts, especially the Bible and the Book of Mormon. Robert
is a theologian and a biblical scholar. Robert is very qualified to
conduct studies on these fields, as he holds degrees in theology and biblical
studies, and further research work on the biblical languages and historical
theology.
Robert has an excellent command in Greek and Hebrew, and is
the only one of his kind in the Latter-day Saint community to discuss the topic
of Mariology and the theology of the Eucharist in depth. Robert wrote numerous
books, including the first book to refute Sola Scriptura from a Latter-day
Saint perspective, using these exegetical tools and the best of theological
thinking.
Robert is a public scholar, which means he is willing to
talk to people and give answers to their questions if they need to. Robert is
not like those scholars who regard themselves as celebrities, when they
are not. Robert is humble but bold, and if you need the best information on
this subject, he is willing to give you digital materials free of charge. If
someone calls out members to prove their faith, he is willing to respond by
challenging church critics to a debate.
Robert's work speaks for itself, and I am a testimony of his
work. His work changed my perspective on church doctrine and the Scriptures.
Robert inspired me to pursue more learning on biblical scholarship and
theology, and he helps me filter out information whenever I ask him questions
on a particular subject on theology. Robert is one of a kind, and I give my testimony
for that.

Robert Boylan's work has greatly strengthened my knowledge,
understanding, and confidence in the truth of the Restored Gospel of Jesus
Christ. His blog is a veritable treasure-trove of important research and data
validating the prophetic claims of Joseph Smith, and highlighting the reality
of the Great Apostasy which has sadly exercised a powerful influence in other
denominations. His podcast is similarly an important resource that I have
regularly consulted as an independent, aspiring author and researcher. Having
read from hundreds of other authors across the field of Mormon studies, I
unreservedly regard Robert as one of the most masterful and erudite LDS
scholars alive today.
His resources defending Joseph Smith's First Vision,
prophecies, and theological teachings (i.e., tritheism) are virtually
unparalleled. Furthermore, his deep command of other faiths and creeds,
including Protestantism, Roman Catholicism, Eastern Orthodoxy, Judaism, and
other world-faiths brings a profoundly rich perspective to LDS apologetics that
makes it easier and clearer to appreciate the precious pearl that we have in
the Restoration as effected by the Prophet Joseph Smith, from our Savior Jesus
Christ. Indeed, this is, in my opinion, one of Robert's most unique talents,
amongst LDS scholars: his ability to deeply understand other faiths and creeds
so that we can better communicate with other faiths, and better appreciate the
beauty of the Restored Gospel.
I have only ever known Robert as a kind and generous person.
He has freely helped me many times with my research, and I have learned a great
deal from his well-written, cogent published materials. I'm aware that Robert
has come under fire in the recent past due to his efforts to engage with bitter
critics of the Restored Gospel. I've personally watched most, if not all, of
Robert's public interactions with such critics and have only witnessed Robert
being appropriately well-mannered, patient, reserved, and fair in such
engagements.
He has only ever become frustrated with such critics when
they themselves demonstrate an unwillingness to abide by proper rules of
dialogue and become unreasonable. But even then, the worst I've seen him do is
engage in his characteristic Irish banter and leave calls when it becomes
untenable to continue the engagement. Despite such difficulties, I know that
many individuals aside from myself have had their testimonies and knowledge
strengthened by Robert's efforts and research.
I would think that any organization who has Robert working
for them should be proud to have such an excellent scholar at their disposal,
and should recognize the value of having a veritable genius within their ranks,
who can hold his own and command respect across many fields, including Mormon
studies, biblical scholarship, ancient Greek and Hebrew, Judeo-Christian
history and theology, Mariology, etc.
I would also hope that any organization who has Robert
working for them would also have an awareness of his recent health struggles,
and would demonstrate Christlike compassion on him by allowing him to continue
his work in the midst of his recent trials and afflictions.

Howdy, Robert!
As far as I am aware, I have read every book that you have
published - and have copies of them on my selves for my sons to read! I have
listened to every scriptural mormonism podcast (some a few times) and am a
daily reader of the blog. I appreciate your clear thinking and have benefited
tremendously from the library of lucid apologetic resources that you have
painstakingly created. You are a gem and an invaluable asset.
I pray for your health and continued capacity to work at the
forefront of thinking through the vast intellectual powers of the ongoing
Restoration.
I know that not everyone might appreciate your rough and
rowdy ways (though I am all for it! Personality is okay sometimes you can flip
a table or two). But I would remind them that:
"if you cut [Robert] into pieces, every piece would cry
out, Mormonism is true."
May God speed and prosper your work,
